Wiggley Walkers Terms & Policies

We are committed to providing reliable, attentive care for your pet and respect for your home. Our team will make every reasonable effort to follow your instructions, maintain your pet’s routine, and ensure their safety and comfort during each visit. While we strive for the highest level of care, you acknowledge that working with animals carries inherent and unpredictable risks.
By using our services, you agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information about your pet’s health, behavior, and needs, as well as safe access to your home. You authorize us to act in your pet’s best interest in the event of an emergency and to seek veterinary care if necessary.
We appreciate the trust you place in us and will always do our best to care for your pet and home with professionalism and respect.
Liability Waiver
The owner confirms that all information regarding their pet’s health and behavior has been disclosed.
Wiggley Walkers and the walker/sitter will make every effort to ensure the pet’s safety, but is not responsible for illness, injury, loss, or death due to unforeseen circumstances. The owner agrees to assume responsibility for veterinary expenses and any damages caused by their pet.
Pet Owner Responsibility for Injuries and Damages
The pet owner agrees to assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages, or legal claims caused by their pet while under the care of the walker/sitter. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries or bites to the walker/sitter, other people, other animals, or damage to property.
The owner agrees to be financially responsible for all related expenses, including veterinary bills, medical expenses, property damage, and any legal fees or claims that may arise as a result of their pet’s behavior during the service period.
The owner further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the walker/sitter and Wiggley Walkers from any liability, claims, damages, costs, or legal actions resulting from the pet’s actions while under the walker's/sitter’s care.
Leash, Escape & Outdoor Liability
The walker/sitter will make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety of the pet while outdoors. However, the owner acknowledges that animals can behave unpredictably.
The owner understands that pets may attempt to escape, slip a leash, or react to external stimuli such as other animals, loud noises, or unfamiliar environments.
The owner agrees that the walker/sitter or Wiggley Walkers is not liable for injury, loss, or death resulting from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to escape attempts, leash failure, or unforeseen circumstances during walks or outdoor time.
The owner agrees to assume responsibility for any damages or injuries caused by their pet indoors, during walks, or outdoor activity.
Pet Supply Responsibility Policy
The pet owner agrees to provide all necessary supplies required for proper pet care during the service period.
These may include, but are not limited to:

Adequate supply of pet food (overnight care)

Treats (if used)
-
Leash and/or harness
-
Collar with ID tags
-
Waste bags
-
Towel to wipe paws
-
Medication and instructions (if applicable)

Cleaning supplies for accidents if needed
The owner is responsible for ensuring that enough supplies are available during service.
Insufficient Supplies
If essential supplies are not available during a scheduled visit, the walker/sitter may attempt to contact the owner for instructions.
If necessary, the Wiggley Walkers or walker/sitter may purchase required supplies to ensure the pet’s safety and care. The owner agrees to reimburse Wiggley Walkers or walker/sitter for the cost of these items plus any applicable service or delivery fees immediately.
Late Return / Extended Stay Policy (Overnight Care Only)
If the pet owner returns home later than the scheduled return date and time reserved, the sitter will continue providing care if available.
Additional care will be billed at the sitter’s standard daily or nightly rate. Payment for the extended stay is due immediately.
If the sitter or Wiggley Walkers is unavailable to continue care, the owner agrees to make alternate arrangements for their pet.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made for overnight care:

7+ days before stay: Full refund

1-3 days before stay: 50% refund
-
Within 12 hours: Non-refundable
Cancellations made for dog walking or potty breaks:
-
Must be cancelled before 9am the day of scheduled visit for credit

Prepaid visits will be credited onto next billing cycle

Refunds are not issued in cash; a credit will be provided for future services
If a client cancels a scheduled walk with insufficient notice according to the cancellation policy, the walk will be billed. Repeated cancellations or frequent schedule changes may affect the availability of the reserved recurring time slot.
By scheduling recurring dog walking services, the client acknowledges and agrees to the minimum service requirement and understands that this policy helps maintain consistent care for their pet and scheduling reliability.
Rate Change Policy
Service rates may change at any time. Clients with recurring services will be notified prior to any rate adjustments. By continuing services after the effective date, the client agrees to the updated pricing. Please refer to our website for current rates.
Client Responsibility for Home Access
The pet owner is responsible for providing reliable access to the home for scheduled services. Access may include a key, door code, or other secure entry method. Wiggley Walkers does not use lockboxes for key access or entry.
The owner agrees to ensure that all keys, codes, and entry instructions provided are accurate and functional prior to the start of services.
If the walker or sitter is unable to enter the home due to incorrect information, malfunctioning locks, the visit will still be billed as scheduled.
If the walker must wait for entry or return later due to access issues, additional fees may apply.
Home Damage Responsibility
The pet owner agrees to be responsible for any damage caused by their pet to the walker or sitter’s property (clothing, phone, etc..), neighboring property, or the owner’s own home during the period of care.
This includes but is not limited to:

Damage to furniture and appliances

Damage to doors, floors, or walls
-
Damage to landscaping or yard area
-
Damage caused by pet chewing, jumping, scratching, digging, or accidents
The owner agrees to reimburse the sitter for any repair, replacement, or cleaning costs required as a result of such damage.
Home Cleanliness & Safety Clause
The pet owner agrees to provide a safe, sanitary, and secure home environment for the walker/sitter and pet during the service period.
This includes:

Safe walking paths free of hazards inside and outside of client's property

Working utilities (water, electricity, heat/air conditioning) for pet sitters and pets
-
Safe access to the home
-
Reasonable cleanliness and sanitary conditions
If the sitter determines that the home environment is unsafe or unsanitary, the walker/sitter or Wiggley Walkers reserves the right to discontinue services at any time.
The owner remains responsible for payment for the reserved service period.
Lost Key Policy
The walker/sitter or Wiggley Walkers will take reasonable precautions to safeguard all client keys and access devices.
In the unlikely event that a key is lost while in the possession of the sitter/walker, Wiggley Walkers liability will be limited to the reasonable cost of replacing the key under $30.
The company is not responsible for the cost of rekeying locks, replacing entire lock systems, or other security upgrades unless required by law or due to proven negligence.
To protect client privacy and security, keys may be labeled using a code system and will not include identifying address information.
Parking Policy
Client is responsible for providing reasonable parking access for all scheduled visits. If free parking is not available, the client agrees to reimburse any metered parking fees or provide a valid parking permit, parking pass, or residential parking sticker when the walker/sitter is required to drive to the visit.
The client is responsible for reimbursing any parking citations resulting from the failure to provide a required parking permit or pass, unless the citation is due to the walker/sitter’s negligence.
Extreme Temperature Walk Policy
The safety and well-being of pets and walkers is the highest priority. During periods of extreme weather, scheduled walks may be modified to prevent harm to the pet and walker/sitter.
Extreme weather conditions may include, but are not limited to:

Extreme cold temperatures
-
Extreme heat
-
Ice-covered sidewalks or unsafe walking conditions
-
Heavy rain or snow
-
High winds
-
Severe storms
When these conditions occur, the walker/sitter may adjust services by:

Shortening the outdoor walk
-
Providing a quick potty break instead of a full walk
-
Spending the remainder of the visit indoors for play, enrichment, or companionship
These adjustments are made to protect the pet’s paws, breathing, and overall pet and walker/sitter safety.
Safety & Service Refusal Policy
The safety of the pets, walkers, and sitters is a top priority.
Wiggley Walkers reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or terminate services at any time if:

A pet displays aggressive or dangerous behavior
-
The home environment is unsafe or unsanitary
-
Instructions provided by the owner put the pet or walker/sitter at risk
-
Necessary supplies or access to the home are not provided
-
The pet requires care beyond the scope of services agreed upon
If services are terminated due to safety concerns, the owner remains responsible for payment for services already scheduled or completed.
