Interviews

Our team members will reach out to you for an online interview.  During this process you will be asked pet-related questions and explain your pet experience background.  We will then review and setup an in person interview to get to know you better.

Pet Care Training

After completing your online application and interviews, we will begin the on-boarding training process.  This will get you up to speed and comfortable with how we work, as well as some basics with pet 101 and first aid basics.

Here at Wiggley Walkers we value three attributes: attitude, competency and mindset. First and foremost everyone on our team is passionate about animals. We are looking for applicants who are detail oriented, able to work independently, and are able to follow directions easily.

 

This is a great job for anyone looking to fill some time during the day actors, musicians, students, a stay at home mom/dad with kids in school, a waitress or bartender, or anyone else who would just LOVE to spend their time with dogs all day.  We provide individual dog walks or with siblings within the same household (no pack walking). Pay is weekly, plus additional compensation for gas! This is a contract position with room to advance to management.

We are looking to hire immediately for an established schedule and route Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am to 3pm. Applicants must be comfortable in all Chicago weather. Must be able to drive or bike for this position due to high demand during the midday hours.

Responsibilities:

​

  • Must be available Monday through Friday, 10am to 3pm, work schedule.

  • Can commit to a minimum of 6 months, preferably a year or more

  • Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates via text

  • Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals

  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment

  • Be comfortable in front of clients and potential clients - customer service oriented

  • Work outside in all Chicago climates

Qualifications:

​

  • Previous experience in animal care or other related fields

  • Excellent communicator

  • Passion to help and treat animals

  • Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Great team player and self-directed
